With an area of 260 square kilometers, Lake Mburo National Park is the second Uganda smallest park after Mghinga, The park has a diverse habitat of open savannas, dry savannas, lakes, seasonal and permanent swamps, forests, thickets,acacia woodland, rocky outcrops and dry hillsides are a home to diversity of plants and animals with a record of 68 mammal – Burchell’s Zebra, Eland, Leopard, Buffalo, Elephant and- Impala, slender mongoose and bush rat in Uganda are found in this area Once a home to hunting dogs, And giant forest hogs that have become extinct.
