Today after breakfast and with your packed lunch boxes, you will be driven to Parc National des Volcans (PNV) offices where after being briefed you will start off the adventure with trackers. This trek may take anything from 2 – 8hours depending on the movements of these primates. If you return early from the trek, you may choose to rest or go for a tour of Lake Burela and ruhondo for great scenery. This morning after breakfast, you will drive to Bwindi crossing the boarder at Chanika into Kisoro, than proceed on the meandering road to Kabala at the edge of Lake Bunyonyi. this offers a very relaxing environment with beautiful scenery. The lake is well known for its glassy water that offers a good habitat for crayfish. After lunch proceed with the drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park. After an early morning breakfast, your driver will help organize your packed lunch boxes then drive/escort you to the park offices. Here you may be joined by other tourists to receive a briefing from the park warden or head ranger on the dos and don’t during gorilla trekking before you begin your adventure. Each gorilla family is visited by a maximum group of eight (8) tourists a day so you may be joined by other people on the trek. Your driver guide will help arrange for porter services (at least one porter per person, Client pays direct) to help with your packed lunches and bags for cameras, water etc. You will then begin your adventure into the gorilla sanctuary. The time taken and the terrain vary (1- 8 hours) according to the movement of these gentle giants. Gorilla trekking takes between less than an hour to 7hours before encounter depending on the terrain. However, the thrill of meeting face to face takes away the pain of some times long and arduous trek. You are then allowed one hour with the gorillas before trekking back. N.B: Gorilla trekking may take a long time before encountering the apes, be prepared to encounter muddy conditions sometimes with rain overhead, so come with raincoat, sturdy hiking boots, poncho, gloves, long sleeved shirt and Long pants.

Day 7: Bwindi – Queen Elizabeth National Park (Ishasha Sector)This day you check out and drive to Ishasha section of Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will enter with a game drive in search of tree climbing lions. The section is well known for tree climbing lions, and also has Topis’ which are not found in the other sections of this park. The Edward flats offer a nice view and the area is known for thousands of elephants too. If lucky, you may also see a python when at hunt. You will later check in at your accommodation for freshening up,dinner and Overnight at Ishasha Wilderness Camp. BLD
Queen Elizabeth National Park covers about 2,000 square kilometers and spreads along the eastern shore of Lake Edward. This is Uganda’s second largest park and is located at the base of the majestic Rwenzori Mountain range, adjacent to Lake Edward and Lake George. The park has prolific game, including Uganda Kob, Giant Forest Warthog, forest pigs, duikers, Waterbuck, Lion, Buffalo, Jackals, warthogs, huge numbers of Hippo and Elephant among others.

This morning after breakfast and with picnic lunch boxes, you will go for yet another game drive and proceed out to towards the main section of QENP. You can then head to Kyambura gorge for a chimpanzee tracking walk in the gorge / go for a nature walk in Maramagambo forest before you later drive to your accommodation. Today morning we will enjoy a game drive in the park. This may include a drive to the magnificent plains of Kasenyi, crater Lakes valleys, and the channel drive. Here we may spot early risers such as lion and Leopard as they return to their dens from morning hunt. In the afternoon, go for an exciting launch/boat cruise of about 2hours on Kazinga Channel. The channel is a home to countless hippos, as well as baboons and abundant bird life. The launch boat offers a good bird viewing spot (Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the best birding parks in Africa with “560” + recorded bird species and recorded “296” bird species seen in a 24 hour period). You may also watch game including the hippopotamus, Elephants, etc. The Channel is believed to have the largest concentration of world’s hippopotamus.Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/ Kyambura game lodge/ Volcano lodgeBLD.

Today morning you may either go for another game drive or opt to have a relaxed morning, have breakfast then check out and drive out for Kampala. The drive takes you through Kasese the length of the Rwenzori ranges to Fort Portal and then the drive will now go through beautiful tea plantations and into Kibale tropical rain forest area to Kagadi, Mubende and finally Kampala. OR you may use the Mbarara, Masaka route. Overnight at Le Petit Village BL

Departure day: If you qualified for the Chimpanzee Integration program, early this morning you will accompany the caretaker to walk the Chimpanzee into the forest. Upon return you will have breakfast and take a boat that returns to the main land by 13:00 OR 17:00 if you have a late night flight. You are then transferred to the airport for your flight connections. BL
