A 7-day wildebeest migration safari in Tanzania offers a chance to witness one of the most spectacular wildlife events on the planet. The Great Migration involves vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, and other animals crossing the Serengeti ecosystem in search of fresh grazing grounds. Here’s a sample itinerary for a 7-day Great Migration safari in Tanzania:

YOUR 7 DAYS INTINERAY

You will be met and picked up by our driver guide /representatives from Kilimanjaro International Airport. Great, will also provide you with a short briefing as well. Afterwards, you will be taken to your

Accommodation overnight stay at:- Mount Meru Hotel.

Day 2: Tarangire National park Game drive

After your breakfast at Mount Meru, we will pick you up and proceed to Tarangire National park. This is one of the largest national park in Tanzania located in Manyara region, this place is characterized by the large Elephants, tree climbing lions, and the fascinating baobab trees also called the Tree of Life for its almost mythical powers that some cultures attach to it. The park is also known for its Tarangire river which flows all year round and the only source of water for wild animals during dry seasons.

Dinner and overnight stay at: Tarangire Sopa Lodge

Day3: Transfer to Ngorongoro – Crater tour

After breakfast, we will drive to Ngorongoro for the day crater tour. This Park is known for its 20,000 mammals live in the area including about 20 black rhinoceros, Hence this making the crater as the best place in Tanzania to see such amazing creatures. The crater floor also has the highest carnivore densities in the world. Likely animals to look out include Lions, cheetahs, hyenas and jackals are commonly seen, while leopards, servals and bat-eared foxes may be seen with some luck.

Accommodation overnight stay at: Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge

Day 4: Central Serengeti National Park wildebeest experience

After breakfast, we will leave for Central Serengeti National Park with picnic lunch and enter with a game drive along the way to Serengeti, incredible wildlife and stunning views is famed for the annual migration of over 1.5 million wildebeest and hundred thousands of zebras, a hyperactive bout of territorial conquests and mating happening from July-October.  Observer an actual survival of the fittest as these animals thrust through crocodile-infested waters. The wildebeest produces more than 8,000 calves daily before the 1,000 km (600 mile) pilgrimage begins again.

Accommodation overnight stay at: Serengeti Serena Lodge

Day 5: Mara area. Serengeti north game viewing

After breakfast, we will drive to Serengeti north viewing the great migration at Mara area. On this game route the key aspect is the Mara River and it is not unusual to see the herds cross the Mara River north on one day and then back south a few days later.  Please take note that finding a animals crossing is very challenging and however its by luck. There are instances where herds can be seen next to the river but then only decide to cross a couple of days later. At this area is a stunning region with kopjes, woodland, riverine vegetation and open plains, similar to Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Reserve.

Accommodation overnight stay at: Chaka Tented Camp

Day 6: 2nd Northern Serengeti sector game drive

After breakfast, we will go for another day of game drive following the trail of the Great Migration.
