For Bird lovers should look out for the endemic birds of north-central Tanzania like the yellow-collared lovebirds, drabber rufous-tailed weaver, ashy starling etc.

Day 4 Check out and drive to Lake Manyara National Park – enter with the game drive

After breakfast, we will check out and transfer to Lake Manyara National Park for yet another thrilling game drive. The star attraction at Lake Manyara National Park is a scenic lake that made Ernest Hemingway exclaim. Lake Manyara also provides the perfect opening to Tanzania’s birdlife with more than 400 species recorded. Inland of the floodplain, a narrow belt of acacia woodland is the favoured haunt of Manyara’s legendary tree-climbing lions and impressively tusked elephants.

Accommodation overnight stay at: The Manor at Ngorongoro

Day 5 Transfer to Ngorongoro – Crater tour

After breakfast, we will drive to Ngorongoro for the day crater tour. This Park is known for its 20,000 mammals live in the area including about 20 black rhinoceros, Hence this making the crater as the best place in Tanzania to see such amazing creatures. The crater floor also has the highest carnivore densities in the world. Likely animals to look out include Lions, cheetahs, hyenas and jackals are commonly seen, while leopards, servals and bat-eared foxes may be seen with some luck.

Ngorongoro is an extensive highland area along the eastern arm of the Great Rift Valley, with the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater as its focal point.  Ngorongoro wildlife reserve was established to conserve wildlife and other natural resources. It exists to safeguard the interests of indigenous people as well as promote tourism. Thus, guests on safari have the unique experience of seeing Maasai herdsmen with their cattles among the tremendous variety of wildlife found in the area.

Day 6 Central Serengeti National Park wildebeest experience

After breakfast, we will leave for Central Serengeti National Park with picnic lunch and enter with a game drive along the way to Serengeti, incredible wildlife and stunning views is famed for the annual migration of over 1.5 million wildebeest and hundred thousands of zebras, a hyperactive bout of territorial conquests and mating happening from July-October.  Observer an actual survival of the fittest as these animals thrust through crocodile-infested waters. The wildebeest produces more than 8,000 calves daily before the 1,000 km (600 mile) pilgrimage begins again.

Accommodation overnight stay at: Serengeti Migration Camp

Day 7 2nd Day Serengeti National Park wildebeest experience

Serengeti offers an exotic game-viewing experience in the whole of Africa giving you upclose look of the animals you’ve only seen in National Geographic: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant’s gazelle.

Accommodation: Serengeti Migration Camp

Day 8 Mara area. Serengeti north game viewing

After breakfast, we will drive to Serengeti north viewing the great migration at Mara area. On this game route the key aspect is the Mara River and it is not unusual to see the herds cross the Mara River north on one day and then back south a few days later.  Please take note that finding a animals crossing is very challenging and however its by luck. There are instances where herds can be seen next to the river but then only decide to cross a couple of days later. At this area is a stunning region with kopjes, woodland, riverine vegetation and open plains, similar to Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Reserve.

Accommodation overnight stay at: Serengeti Migration Camp

Day 9 Serengeti National Park (North Lobo)

After breakfast, we will head north of Serengeti for a full day game drive in the wilderness tracking the Great migration trails. Witness million wildebeests, each one driven by the same ancient rhythm, fulfilling its instinctive role in the inescapable cycle of life: a frenzied three-week bout of territorial conquests and mating; survival of the fittest as 40km (25 mile) long columns plunge through crocodile-infested waters on the annual exodus north.

Accommodation: Serengeti Migration Camp
